We are using BlogTalkRadio to broadcast our show. The folks over a BlogTalkRadio are offering this service for free! Anyone can become a host of their own radio show as long as their show is not offensive. I know what you are saying, “If everyone can do it how will it benefit me?” First of all not everyone will do it. Most people will talk about it, but in the end only a few will actually act on it. So if you are a doer, there are great benefits of hosting a radio show.

Every show is recorded as an MP3 and you will have access to download it. Having the download you can do a couple of things, you can post it on your site and submit it to podcast services. This will bring more traffic to your site and more readership and more listeners to your radio show. The second thing you can do is use the radio show to create products as well. Make a series of shows bundle the MP3s into a product that you can resell. The MP3s are yours so you can do what you want with them.

Another great benefit of having your own radio show is that you can also interview other people in your industry and allow them to post the MP3 to their site, thus gaining more traffic more listeners to your show and you will also be helping the person you interviewed do the same thing.

As you can see having your own radio show has many benefits to it and if we think outside the box, the uses are only limited by our imagination. My first show’s topic will cover some basics about blogs, which platform to use, etc. However, there is a call in segment at the end of the show. You can call the phone number or you can use IM and message me at my AIM of bloggingjoe. Here you can ask any question you like as long as it is not offensive. But I hope you would want to ask questions pertaining to WEB 2.0 Internet Marketing. I hope you all tune in find out what this is all about. You can tune in every Thursday at 7:00pm Eastern Standard time and list to Blogging Joe, Dominate the internet using WEB 2.0 Internet Marketing!

    Hi Joe
Hmm I have one problem. it seems that listeners must have Windows Media Player to listen to your show! What about us Linux users? We can’t use MS programs!
I’ll try to be on line with AIM, but I’m going to be at work. I might not get a chance to ask my questions so I’ll post them here.

    1. Do you have any idea when Google will update their page rank? As a new blogger I’m still waiting for the ‘we don’t have any information’ message to change!

    2. The external links in Google Analytics for my site haven’t been updated since July 25th. Do you know why?

  2. janet Says:

Oh Dear “Next, check the type of browser you are using. The “Click to Talk” feature only works in Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 6.x or higher.”

They really love MS stuff don’t they!

  3. Joe Says:

    Janet,

As far as your question about Page Rank update. It was rumored to have happened in August and as many of us know it didn’t happen. I was reading an excerpt from Matt Cutts the other dya and he is quoted as saying don’t expect an update for a while. Didn’t mention when to expect it.

Google analytics to me is a funny thing. I know folks swear by it, but I don’t get the same results as other stats that I use. Especially the links portion. Google still doesn’t show that I have any links to my site. If you are going to use it, you going to have to wait on them.
